Huckabee is toast.

Some of my friends are worried that MIke Huckabee’s aw-shucks act might play nationally if he became the Republican nominee for President.

I don’t think so. If the Democrats wouldn’t run that ad, or something like it, People for the American Way could do it. Every word in it is true, and the two most damaging words were written by Huckabee himself. “Dear Wayne …”

Update More here. Definitely toast. Eve Fairbanks gets it just right: having nutso positions won’t hurt Huckabee much, but being a rotten human being will.
