Pub Quiz: Mythical Places

Google not and try your hand at this quiz, in which you must name the mythical places that each of the directions given will take you. Answers after the jump, please post your score.

  1. I got eight right; got #3 and #9 wrong.

    What is the place where "To the left and right of the hallway there are two very small closets. In the first, one may sleep standing up; in the other, satisfy one's fecal necessities. Also through here passes a spiral stairway, which sinks abysmally and soars upwards to remote distances. In the hallway there is a mirror which faithfully duplicates all appearances. . . ."

    (It's not down on a map; true places never are.)

  2. I call protest on 3 — that is, there's a typo in it "tool" for "toll", and the directions are more like "Pass through the toll booth, wander for half the book, and only then decide something without a good reason."

    Missed 9 and 10, and only half got 3: I was in the right book based on 'tollbooth', but was thrown off enough by the question to be unsure what exactly you meant (I was trying to fit it to the Doldrums, which are more immediately after the tollbooth).
