Update The people have spoken — about a hundred of them — and we’re back to the old format, trying to figure out if Moveable Type will support a workable compromise where only long posts are divided.
Many thanks for all your input, and my apologies for not being able to respond to each of you individually.
But I must say I was disappointed and relieved that only one respondent figured out that the whole thing was just a marketing ploy, like New Coke.
