Republicans try to steal another election.
Republican officials - this time in Ohio - continue to work hard to make sure that votes aren’t cast or counted, even if they have to defy the law to do so.
Meantime, the Republican Party pays $3 million to a man with a history of voter-registration fraud (collecting registration forms and throwing them away if the new voter wants to register as a Democrat) to do it again, this time in Virginia and Florida. The con artist’s company shares an address with Karl Rove’s super-PAC. (Here’s the American Crossroads IRS registration. And here’s the Florida criminal complaint, showing the same address: not just the same street address, the same suite number.
If you don’t seriously hate these people, you’re simply not paying attention.

These people are not a loyal opposition, they are as subversive to our institutions as the old Communist Party, but vastly more powerful. If Obama is re-elected a great many right wing nihilist leaders need to wear orange and do so for years.
Republicans are clearly bowing down before their Holy Electoral Trinity: Vote fraud, vote suppression and voter intimidation. What a despicable excuse for a party they are. Responsible people need to come together and ensure that this vile right-wing neo-Bolshevik rabble is excluded from power for the good of the nation.
Could Karl Rove’s “crossroads” be the same crossroads where Robert Johnson purportedly made his deal with the devil*? Rove certainly seems to have foustian luck considering all the criminal activity he has been tangential to but never getting his fingers caught when the cookie jar lid slams. Of all the Bushies he seems to be the only one who has continued to wield significant political clout.
*I don’t believe in such mysticism but the choice of names is interesting symbolically. Odd too that Rove’s tenure coinsided with the GOP flipping the stars upside down on their logo. Yeah, I know it’s deep in the weeds but just sayin’.

No matter what happens on Tuesday……Obama wins or loses……the dems need to come out and go after this sort of stuff. You can bet that it’ll still be around 4 years from now and NOW is the time to start trying to deal with it, not at the 11th hour. Legal challenges, state elections, local party elections, you name it……this stuff has to be addressed and the sooner the better.
