Happy ending

Benno Schmidt comes to his senses; Kushner will get his honorary degree.

Benno Schmidt, the chair of the CUNY trustees, has figured out that the best way to make the Kushner affair go away is to have the Executive Committee vote to reverse the full Board and award the degree. Good.

Now maybe they can replace Pataki’s bagman with someone who isn’t a disgrace to the institution.
