“God, why have you foresaken me.”

Perhaps that’s what this boy was saying. Much about that figure indicates why I have warmer feelings for Pope Francis than I do for his former or his current boss.

  2. Used to be, it was considered impressive for a pope or similarly exalted figure to miraculously heal the sick.

    Now, it's considered amazing if he so much as stops to pay attention for a moment.
