I strongly recommend that our readers take a look at a recent speech by Philip Zelikow, a professor at UVA and former assistant to Condoleeza Rice. The main pivot of the speech is the distinction between ethical and moral reasoning, and the kind of reasoning that lawyers are typically trained to engage in.
