A sad moment to man up: Van Jones needs to go

Van Jones handed Republicans his own head by signing a 2004 petition that embraced 9/11 conspiracy nonsense about the Bush administration. He needs to man up and leave immediately before further damage is done.

Van Jones has been wrongly savaged by rightwing commentators. Unfortunately, it turns out that Jones handed them his own head by signing a 2004 petition that embraced 9/11 conspiracy stuff about the Bush administration. (Kate Sheppard provides details.) This is politically damaging at a critical moment, and the petition was in every way indefensible. It is especially sad to see a worthy person make a career-damaging mistake. But Jones needs to man-up and leave quickly before further damage is done.
