The article reviews the work Beau and his colleagues have done evaluating the effects of the program and then discusses my work disseminating it to policymakers in the United Kingdom. We also discuss the ideological resistance the program encounters despite its strong evidence of reducing drink-driving fatalities and domestic violence.

Went through the article and to my knowledge drunken driving does tend to become a dangerous aspect due to the fact that it endangers the lives of driver as well as other people in road. Most governments take a zero tolerance policy against such drivers which includes cancellation of license for life time also.
