I voted four hours ago. The Post is lugubriating about the likely turnover of the State Senate from Dems to Reeps. A number of Dem seats seem to be plausible Reep pick-ups, and no Reep seats seem likely to go Dem.
Well, I did my best: voted for the Dem in my district for state Senate. At the moment, one of the two seats the Reeps need for a tie has gone to them, in the other the Reep is ahead by 86 votes. This is far worse than it sounds, for the Dems, in terms of any kind of legitimacy - the Dems controlled the gerrymandering of the Senate districts, these were absolutely the most favorable districts for Dems which could have been drawn. Hard for me to see how Va ends up in the Dem column next year.
