They lie, cheat, steal and blackmail? They overpay with other people’s money and then renegotiate? And, they buy their own news Media and run into the ground, rather than tolerate anything more critical than Gossip Girl‘s view of Manhatten’s elite?
The article reads to me as a not-very-subtle polemic for confiscatory inheritance and gift taxes, a 50% corporate income tax and a 70% top marginal income tax rate.

Russell, the class war has been going on for 30+ years. That the rich have plenty of the “rest” convinced that they haven’t fired the first shot is… genius.
I have to agree with the comments above, although I am assuming Matthew was being sarcastic. I wish the article actually had given practical advice on how to succeed in commercial real estate.
