I played music to my daughter, sang to her, taught her to inscribe a pentagram in a circle with compass and straight edge. My own baby einstein program. She is currently on full scholarship at Cal Berkley to get her Ph.D. in Physics.
When you have a kid, you have to try to make them smart. When you have a smart kid, you have to, as a parent, try to live up to the potential that you think they have. You do that by spending time with them. That is why older children tend to be smarter than later children: The first kid spends more time with adults.
