Harold Pollack reads the Wall Street Journal editorial page so you don’t have to. But his doing so reminds me of a crying need in American journalism.
Whenever you get tired of the Los Angeles Times, you can always read Not The Los Angeles Times. Actually, you should read NTLAT even when you are reading the original.
What we really need now is a daily Not the Wall Street Journal Editorial Page, trashing the original on a real-time basis. Surely there is some enterprising blogger/aspiring policy wonk who could go through every piece of garbage on the page and rip it apart. It wouldn’t be that hard — it’s not like the WSJ edit page is engaging in any serious analysis.
And surely some foundation could fund a couple of folks to do the job.
