Violating an agreement with state legislative leaders, Arnold Schwarzegger has decided to slice more than a half a billion dollars from the state budget, axing programs for abused and neglected kids, cutting tens of thousands of children off of health care, and slashing AIDS prevention.
I’m sure glad he refused to reinstate the old vehicle license fee, which would raise roughly $3.8 billion. Can’t have those Hummer and SUV drivers pay $100 more to the state, can we?
